Sometimes it's a little dangerous to get comfortable in your routine...that's when life throws you a curve ball. Well, I got a little too comfy in mine and we are taking our first steps towards a "life change". We will be moving from our current home to another one very soon so some adjustments are in order...
This beautiful wholecloth linen quilt currently hangs in the entry of my home and it will not be able to be displayed or put on a bed in our next home. It is too beautiful to be folded away in a closet so I am seeking a new home for my soon-to-be orphan.
This quilt measures 64 x 97 1/2"-ish. It was created from a banquet sized vintage linen tablecloth. Hundreds of hours were put into the meticulous machine quilting. The middle has a beautiful raised medallion; the background is very intricate diamond-shaped cathedral windows with scribbling; intricate feathered border with grapes; quilted net lace; 1/8" repetitive line background for shadow. I've even managed to squeeze in a few freshwater pearls for embellishment. My regular blog followers will recognize this as one of the quilts that were displayed in my Featured Artist Exhibit at MQX in Providence last year and it may also appear at my exhibit at MQX in Portland this year (if it doesn't sell right away!)
This quilt is beautiful...I thoroughly enjoyed creating it and I am happy that it will be part of our "life change". If you are interested in purchasing, please visit Etsy by clicking HERE.
Hugs, Cindy :)
