Last October I was invited to film my second class with CRAFTSY which focuses on wholecloth quilting. I was SO jazzed and have been sitting on pins and needles waiting for it to launch.
Of course I wanted the class to be ALL about the wholecloth linen quilts that I create but they dialed me in and make me a bit more diverse...the class focuses on how to create both a "regular" wholecloth quilt as well as a linen wholecloth quilt. I share great tips and techniques on designing, straight basting, creating the over/under designs for both styles of quilts, straight basting, backgrounds, and special tips and techniques specific to the linen quilts. I'm thankful they had me teach both styles as it turned out to be a very well rounded class!
There's always a bucket load of prep work prior to filming and my sewing room was completely trashed for weeks. Poor Kent got a pat on the head on the couch as I flew past coming and going to my sewing room and there were many long hours...but it was all worth it in the end.
Here's a couple views of the studio from the film crew's view...
...and from MY view...There is SOOOO much equipment required to pull this all off!
Many of you know that I write and sell my class handbooks on my website and I put together a special grouping just for my Craftsy students to complement both of my classes...
It is the "Wholecloth Quilts Collection" aka "The Craftsy Collection" and it contains a bucket load of great information as well as photos of the samples that were used on set. Click HERE to be taken to the Handbooks section of my website.
I SO look forward to joining you back in the classroom with Craftsy!
Hugs, Cindy :)

I really enjoy your first class, I'm looking forward to take this second class in the next coming weeks.
Your first Craftsy class was very informative and a pleasure to watch. I hope to be joining this one very soon!
