Day Three...
What an amazing day today! It absolutely poured and stormed all night last night but we woke up to partly cloudy skies this morning and warmer weather...whew! I taught the Open Thread Bar workshop today and we had a ball. This class is always a favorite of mine and something that has been a very popular guild workshop when I teach and travel around the country. Two more of my students were "featured" and what a treat it was. Even though we visit all day long this gives us a chance to really get to know the person a lot better.
I managed to sneak out at lunch and get a few more pictures on the beach without the rain and wanted to share...
I was invited to have dinner with the ladies from The Cotton Patch quilt store (our retreat store vendor/quilt shop in Lafayette) and we went to this great restaurant with amazing cakes that are at least 10" high. I got a huge slice of chocolate cake in a to-go box with 7 forks/napkins and brought it back to the classroom to share...it was gone within seconds. It almost makes you feel like you're back in grade school again and doing something very sneaky...and getting away with it! :)

Thanks for sharing!! Looks like so much fun!
Oh I love the Cotton Patch - I hope they haven't moved from the quaint little house they were in. I left more money there every time I shopped!
Hi Cindy
Yesterday (my BD) the pinwheel quilt got members choice at our guild show, and accepted at the juried show. Thanks for your help in making it better! Fondly Ann
