More samples....

I just finished teaching my July 5-day Designs Workshop in Rancho Cordova and one of the things that I enjoy about teaching is how much my students inspire me.  I pride myself on beautiful samples for my classes and felt that I was lacking in feathers samples...so of course I need to make more!  I have also added a new class to teach which is my Heirloom Feathers & Backgrounds and I need more samples for that too!  I am challenging myself to create one new sample each day for at least the next week while my feet are on the ground.  I wanted to share two of them...threw the third one away.

In my next blog, hopefully by later today, I will be sharing what inspires me the most...my students.

Hugs, Cindy
PS:  I've received several comments regarding the white flower/feather dresden plate design.  I would like to give credit to Darlene Epp's workbook, "The Pocket Guide to Freehanding Heirloom Feathers" for the inspiration for the design.  I took one of her sketches and made it my own. You can find this two-book set at:  www.trilliumhousedesigns.com.  I have recommended this book to numerous students...GREAT resource for inspiration.

Those samples are exquisite! Love the circles/"pebbles" in the spines of the feathers and your background fills add so much to the richness of the overall design....so Victorian!!!
