I wanted to give a big shout out to Karen Azevedo for the awards she won this week at Quilt Colorado!
If you are a blog stalker you are very familiar with Karen's amazing work on linens...she does all of her work on a long arm and I am always amazed at how tiny she can get her details.
She received a second place ribbon in her category on one quilt as well as Director's Choice for the other.
Congratulations Karen....awards very well deserved!
Hugs, Cindy :)

Beautiful ! Congratulations Karen...
Oh, but you are a stinker! And so sweet. Thank you - I learned from the best.
Hi Cindy, I'm so happy to find your blog and the record of the beautiful work you do with vintage linens. I've just came form an event called Art in Action, where I've bought several bags of various materials from the Embroider's guild in London. In there are threads, patterns, bits of fabric and a piece of the most exquisite 1920s tasselled and embroidered shawl. I wanted to make something form it; although I'm primarily an artists and not a quilter or embroiderer, but always say to myself, "how hard can it be?" So here I go, with a little inspiration from your lovely pieces you've managed to save. I'm in my home in England for a few months and don't have a sewing machine here, so all by hand.
Well, wanted to say hello, and now I'm off to read some more of your posts and figure things out. :)
This is amazing quilt!Congratulations Karen!
